All parts are manufactured in-house in Redwood City, CA, USA, with standard delivery in seven days.
How Instant Quote Works
Upload Files
Upload your 3D model files. We accept STEP or IGES files. However we only recommend AP203 or AP214 STEP files to get the most accurate price.
Model preparation (tips to get the best instant CNC quote price):
- Don’t include unnecessary chamfers or fillets
- Don’t include 3D threads or cosmetic threads
- Don’t include any 3D-modeled engravings
- Don’t include any embedded notes or dimensions
Contact us if you are unsure that your model file is ready for instant quote, and we will review and provide feedback to get the best instant CNC quote price.
Quote Request
After uploading your model files, configure your parts and submit your no-obligation Quote Request.
Standard Part Sizes:
- Milling parts 6″ x 6″ x 3″ (152 mm x 152 mm x 76 mm)
- Turning parts 3″ diameter x 5″ long (76 mm x 127mm )
Standard Tolerance and Surface Finish:
- Standard tolerance +-.005″ (.13 mm) for metals and +-.010 (.25 mm) for plastices
- Standard surface finish 125 (3.2) Ra
No drawing is required for parts that meet the standards listed above.
DFM Review
After submitting your Quote Request, a DFM (design for manufacturing) review will be performed for same-day order acceptance, typically within minutes.
If the DFM review identifies areas of concern, you will be contacted to determine if there are acceptable design options.

Place Order
After the DFM review and acceptance, you will receive an order confirmation detailing the final cost, shipping information, and delivery date.
You can then provide your payment information. All orders are secure and confidential.
Production of your order will start after payment confirmation.
Production
For standard part sizes and materials, production is seven business days for each part order with 30 or fewer pieces.
The delivery schedule for multiple part orders or orders with more than 30 pieces will be determined during the DFM Review.
Expedited delivery is available for an additional charge. Request your expedited delivery when submitting your Quote Request.
Delivery
Once your order is complete, you will receive an email containing:
- Images of the final parts
- Inspection report with a drawing
- C of C (if requested)
Renovo CNC will create a basic part drawing before production if no drawing was uploaded with your order.
After your order has been shipped via the carrier of your choice, you will receive an email with tracking information.
Drawing Required
If your part requires features beyond the standard tolerances and surface finish (such as tighter tolerances, threads, engraving, lower surface roughness, finishing services, material certifications, or custom packaging), a drawing or sketch is required indicating the location of the key features or details of the particular requirement.
Drawings or sketches should be submitted with your Quote Request.
Standard Part Sizes
Our online instant CNC quote business is focused on quick-turn parts at a fair price. To meet these objectives, we have selected the standard part sizes, materials, tolerances, and surface finishes.
Our CNC machines, work holding, and tooling are tuned to maximize throughput with these standard part sizes and materials.
We accept larger part sizes, specifically with our CNC milling services.
